Diwali, or 'The Festival of Light' is celebrated all over India in autumn between October and November. At this time, families are excited to welcome the Goddess Lakshmi, the one who brings prosperity and well-being into our homes by lighting diyas (lamps) and intentionally preparing our spaces for this special guest. We do this by tidying up, decorating, and cooking delicious food and sweets.
